Day 1
The First trip up into the park, on 10/15/2015, was a lot of fun. This First little bit of adventure greatly exceeded my expectations. We were able to visit Wolf #9’s den site, which I thought was amazing. I loved being to visit the den of the first breeding female in the park.
The whole day had an air of excitement over being able to view the park in such depth. I had been able to see both the Big Horn Sheep and a Gold Eagle for the first time! This first day felt like a great taste of what is yet to come.
Day 2
The second day in the park, on 10/16/2015, Was even more exciting. Through the spotting scope, I was able to get some pretty decent pictures of some mountain goats, wolves, and a grizzly bear. I had been able to closely follow the story of wolf number 925 and 926, and I now believe I could retell the story to my friends and family if I wanted to. I did find it really interesting that wolf #925 was able to get out of trouble by flirting with the males that posed a threat to her.
I really enjoyed the lesson that we had down by the river today. It allowed me to have some peaceful quiet time that was greatly needed.
While we were watching the Lamar canyon pack today, I was able to get a picture of the Lamar valley that is absolutely gorgeous.
