Saturday we headed out early to try and catch the wolves in the Lamar Valley. Even with the early start we still missed wolves so we switched our focus to finding the elusive Pika. Didnt take long before we found Pika doing their thing among the scree on Hellroaring trail head. They are a busy little critter. Lane and myself went on a little trip to the backside of Hellroaring and got a great view over a huge meadow. It is amazing how big this country is. It took us a little longer then the others to get back to the bus but well worth the hike.
