Day 2!

Today was an eventful day. We started the day looking for wolves in the Lamar valley again. Today we were unable to see any wolves, but we did see a lot of bison. We also stopped to see some pika on the way. Once we got to the end of the Lamar valley, we pulled over to view some mountain goats on a rock face. On our way back we were able to see a dramatic scene with the control of wildlife that have been habituated to humans. There was a coyote that was harassing visitors at one of the parking lots. The rangers had come out to haze the coyote away from the spot. At the time we pulled up, the rangers had looked for it and were in the process of leaving when the coyote came back and snuck up on a tourist viewing the information posted there. Mass chaos ensued as people in the van yelled at the tourist and the rangers. The rangers eventually hazed the coyote away with bear spray and we left. After that we went on a hike down to the Lamar river to take a few minutes to ourselves. We went our separate ways at the river so we could have some solitude in the valley. After this we went back to the city to see an interesting presentation on climate change.
