Second Day in Yellowstone

It was another great day exploring the park we were able to see some mountain goats, pikas, and American dippers. We still have not spotted a bear.  We also hiked by the Lamar River to sit and reflect about what we were seeing and experiencing.  It was an amazing experience seeing the rugged landscape because it will not look this way forever.  While I sat there I thought a lot about how most of the animals have become habituated to humans.  For example, the coyote we saw today that needed to be harassed because it took a swipe at a 14 year old kid and almost did the same to another guy.  It was interesting to see and really made me realize there are no real natural places in our world. It was still fun exploring, but for me the best part of the day was our speaker on climate change.  We got to see some scientific information that shows how the climate is actually changing the world.  We can not undo what we have already done, but there may be hope.  It really made me think about how our generation can try to help make a difference by finding some solutions.
