Today was a great day to be in Yellowstone! We got in some wolf watching in the morning and some hiking in the afternoon. This was by far one of the best hikes i have been on. Although it wasn’t a very long one we got in a lot of great sight seeing. We also stumbled upon a ton of old kill sites and other neat finds. We stopped for lunch at the confluence, where slough creek meets the Lamar river. Not every day can you say that you got to eat lunch in the middle of a river! To cap off the best day yet we got to sit in the mammoth hot springs. This was an interesting experience as the river itself is ice cold, yet the water coming out of the hot springs is scalding hot.
