today we started our first day with the wolf trackers. Right off the bat we found a black wolf laying down in the Lamar valley, then much to our surprise there was a grizzly spotted in the trees which was very exciting. Not only that but there was an abundance of bison in the area. Then we were able to go to a hillside and glassed for mountain goats, they stood out because the tips of the mountains were dark and the mountain goats being white, made them easy to spot. Later in the day while we were eating lunch, across the valley we spotted a momma black bear and two cubs. This ended up being the best day I’ve had out in Yellowstone for spotting wildlife and hopefully it keeps getting better.
