It started as an early morning leaving Valley City at 6am. It was a 10 hour drive, however we had stops every couple of hours to break it up. The first stop was in Bismarck at the McDonalds for breakfast and bathrooms. The second stop was at Theodore Roosevelt National Park to let some of the students who have never been there get a quick glimpse of the badlands of North Dakota. From stopped for lunch in Miles City where there were various fast food places for us to grab a quick meal. Our next major stop was in Livingston to grab groceries for the next few days. After arriving in Gardiner a group of us walked to the Subway to get dinner.
On the way here we saw many deer, both whitetail and mule deer, bison, wild horses (in Medora), and elk once we entered Paradise Valley. One we made it into the mountains the views from the vehicle were much more beautiful to watch. I look forward to seeing more wildlife tomorrow. Hopefully we have decent weather!
