Today was a great day! Dr. Ketterling was our guide today as we made our way to the Norris Geyser Basin. We got word that there were grizzly sightings south of there for the past two days, so we decided to give it a shot. It was too bad that we never got to see the sow with two cubs, but the scenery made up for it. Once we got to Midway Geyser Basin, we hiked up to the overlook of the Grand Prismatic. It was awesome seeing the different colors! When we were finished viewing Grand Prismatic, we took the trail to Fairy Falls. It was a six-mile hike round trip, and I can feel it in my legs! It was a great hike! We got to see grizzly tracks and a pretty waterfall. Once we finished our hike, most of us were hungry from all the work so we decided to have lunch in the parking lot there. After lunch, we got to view Old Faithful. I’ve seen it before, but it is always exciting to watch the eruption. I got some shopping done in a few of the gift shops, and had a great supper with Yari at the Rusty Rail. Its disappointing that we have to leave tomorrow, but I am thankful for this amazing opportunity. There is never a boring day in Yellowstone National Park!
