Today had a rather exciting and eventful morning. We started out by seeing a grizzly bear feeding on some grasses. We then made a decision to go find wolves in a different area in the park. That choice ended up being great. On the way there someone spotted a black bear in some trees 50 yards off the road. While looking at the bear another 10 cars pulled up trying to locate the bear as well. From there we went to go find some wolves. We missed the first wolf chasing a young spike elk according to some other park goers. So we went to see if we could find that singular wolf, but we had no luck. So we turned around and headed to a different area while on the way to the other area, someone spotted two wolves running at the base of hillside. We stopped and watched the two wolves for a while until we couldn’t see them anymore. The group decided to go hike up a smaller hill and to see if we could find them. A couple people saw them again. We waited about 15 minutes for the real show to start. Before long someone pointed out a wolf way off in the distance about a mile to mile and a half away. This singular wolf turned into 4-5 wolves, it was hard to keep track of how many there actually was. After watching all the wolves walk out of the viewing area, we left and went back to the hotel.
