Dillon : Day two in Yellowstone

It was a very eventful day today. We left the motel at six this morning to go out and find the wolves this morning. We got there right as it was getting light outside. We did not see the wolves today, but we did see a coyote pounce on a rodent. after the searching for the wolves we conducted some citizen science by counting bison in a herd.

We also went to Baronette mountain to scope for a mountain goat. Dalton was able to spot one up on the ridge. that was the first time i have seen a mountain goat. They are a beautiful animal, I was really looking forward to finding one. The only thing now is to find a bear, moose and pika. Tomorrow, hopefully, we can cross all them off the list.

We also went to the acclimation pen where they first introduced the wolves. I thought the cage would have been bigger. we also went to the big drop tine bull elk dead head that the wolves killed. We went there last year, but it is still a fun thing to look at.
