We had an amazing final day in Yellowstone. The previous two days there had been a grizzly bear sighting just south of Norris, so we headed down there to try to spot it, but we never did see it. We did go to old faithful geyser and got there at a perfect time to go to some shops and see old faithful erupt. I have seen old faithful erupt before, so it was not the first time, but every time i see it is a spectacular sight. The best part of the day was on our hike out to Fairy Falls, and i was joking around about how i see some bear tracks up ahead and the tracks i was looking at turned out to actually be bear tracks. the hike out to the falls and grand prismatic was a beautiful walk, especially with the snow covered trees. At the end of the day we went swimming in the boiling river, it is where a hot spring enters a river and warms the water of the river. it was a new and awkward experience with a freezing cold water and burning hot water at the same time. i am sad that the trip is over, but i’m glad that i went on this educational trip with a great group of people.
