Emma- Day 1

We made it to the motel after a long drive around 7 pm yesterday, on our way in we saw elk and mule deer. Today we left the motel around 7 am. We started our day by driving around for awhile then we stopped at a pull off point and were taught how to use a scope. During the lesson we saw a lot of bison and a few elk. After the scope lesson we drove to our first hiking spot where we found beaver dams and two beaver lodges. We found a lot of bison signs, some pronghorn signs, a few elk signs, and a trail of wolf prints. We headed back to the bus and went to a picnic area on our way to the picnic area we saw a huge coyote. When we got the the picnic area there were two ravens hanging out around us. One of the ravens was hanging around my table and eventually jumped up on my bench for a few seconds which was very cool. After lunch we headed to where we would help conduct a pika survey near Undine Falls. After we finished the pika survey we headed to the Yellowstone Forever building and attended a climate change presentation. After the presentation we went back to the motel.
