On our last day in Yellowstone, we toured other parts of the park that we didn’t reach with Shauna. We toured the hotsprings, Old Faithful and other geysers, and the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone. We traipsed around different thermal pools, mudpots, and we hiked to the Black Sand Pool and laid on the ground to feel the rumbles of the built up gases that were being released by that pool. That was really neat! I think my favorite part of today was Canary Springs and the terraces up there. A small group of us walked down to Canary Springs and it was absolutely beautiful! The colors and the way the water fell over the different terraces with the mountains in the background was an unforgettable sight. The pictures that I took did not and will never do that spring justice. That goes for most of the pictures I took along this trip. There is nothing like experiencing this place first hand with your own eyes. I had such a great time on this trip experiencing Yellowstone differently this time from my first time here. I would like to keep up with the Yellowstone Reports so I can know what’s going on with the different packs. I will come back sometime again in the future and hopefully have luck finding wolves and bears and big elk again!
I attached my favorite picture from the last day. It is of Canary Springs with the Absoroka Mountain Range in the background.
