Today has been an amazing day. We went off trail hiking and I got to conquer fears. We also got to see wolves eating a fresh carcass which was an amazing site to see. The hike was kinda hard but in the end I made it. Also some of us went to the boiling river which was nice but it went from you burning to being freezing cold. Enjoy the pictures from today.

Do you know what the wolves were eating? Was it a big animal or small? And when you said the hike was hard what do you mean about this? Did you have go over hills and rocks or even snow? Speaking of the boiling river did you go swimming in there? Or put your hands in there? Or is the surrounding area that’s warm.
Sorry for all these questions, but it just concerned me because i have never been to Yellowstone nor know anything about it.
Hi Nathan it’s okay for all the questions I do know what they were eating a bison how old I do not exactly Know they were about a mile and a half out. The hike was hard because altitude it was .25 of a mile and then straight up. I went soaking in the river it was really hot then really cold
Do you know why the water was warm then freezing cold? That would be so cool to see or even touch! Also, the wolves was eating a fresh carcass as in like a bison that was just killed by them? Hope you’re having fun, it sounds so nice.
My fav animal to see was the wolf. I wish we could of seen a bear. There’s always next year. The current, it pulled hot water from a side pool. Yes the carcass was a fresh bison.
Why do they call is the river called the boiling river? Just curious if theres something cool behind the name.
My guess is they call it the boiling river because the water super hot and steams
Where were you located that you were able to see the wolves eating the carcass? How many wolves were eating at once? Hope you enjoyed your time there!
what type of carcass were the wolves eating? and when you went to the river were there any rapids or was it a calm river?
Did the wolves share the carcass or did one wolf just eat it all.
