Last day in Yellowstone

Today was our last day in the park which was a bit disappointing.  The landscape out here is where I’d like to be living.  Although it is the last day, it was probably also the best day.  We didn’t have to be sitting in the vehicle as much as the other days which was really nice.  We started out the day with leaving the hotel at 8 am and headed towards Fairy Falls.  As we were heading to the falls, we looked for a mama grizzly and her two cubs, but we didn’t see them.  The hike to fairy falls was 6 miles and rather warm compared to the other days.  On the hike towards Fairy Falls, we stopped by Grand Prismatic.  We also saw bear tracks on the way to Fairy Falls.  Next, we drove to go see Old Faithful. I have already seen this so it wasn’t as amazing as the first time.  Some of us ended our day by swimming in the Yellowstone river at Boiling River.  This was definitely an experience!  One half of your body would be cold and the other half would be hot.  When walking through the river, the water would be so cold that your legs would go numb.  It was a very eventful and wonderful day though.

Sincerely,

Morgan Gentzkow
