Today was started with leaving the hotel at 6 am.  From the hotel we drove to Hayden Valley where we looked for wolves for awhile.  It was very cold and very windy out.  We looked through the spotting scopes, but had no luck with seeing the wolves.  This was very disappointing because I really want to see some.  Next we moved on to a 3 mile hike that lead to Yellowstone Lake.  Although the weather was still not very nice, this hike was pretty fun.  After eating, we went for a short hike around some of the geysers.  Lastly on our way home we stopped at a rocky formation along side the road near Mammoth to look for pika.  This was by far my favorite part of day 3!  We only spent about a half hour there and I really wish we could have stayed longer.  The view was amazing in the area, and climbing around the rocks was a lot of fun!  Hopefully we will get to see some wolves tomorrow.
