Today was our last day with our guide from the Yellowstone association. We started the day with doing some wolf watching in Lamar Valley. After some chasing and driving up and down the road running through Lamar Valley. We were able to see 11 wolfs high up on the mountain skyline. These were from the Prospect Peck pack. Being where they are they are far out of their home range.
After our morning of wolf watching, we began a hike of about three miles. We hiked to the junction of the Lamar River and Slough Creek River. While we took a break to have some lunch, we saw some Ravens flying further up the Lamar River that sparked some interest. As we got done eating, we of course started heading that direction. We discovered that that they were scavenging on a carcass, along with at least one Coyote.
Going on a hike I feel that you could see a different side of Yellowstone where she could show a different beauty that you cant see from any road or vehicle.
