Day one fully in the park was very eventful. Although we spent a lot of time in the car we still got to see amazing things. First off for the first day we stopped and talked with Travis who talked about elk and moose in the park. I think its crazy to think of how adding one species such as the wolves can make an impact to the entire ecosystem. We then spent time at the hot springs in mammoth and learned about the geology of some mountain ranges in Yellowstone. After that, we went to the the Canyon and learned about different types of trees and the soil nutrients. We took time and looked at the scenery got some photos and went back to Gardiner. All of us talked with Mike and Ashea about climate change which was the highlight of the day.
