Hello,
My name is Madison and I am a sophomore at Valley City State University. My Biology 499 class and I will soon be out in Yellowstone. I have been to the park already, but it was a few years ago. However, I look forward to experiencing the Yellowstone ecosystem in ways that I wasn’t able to previously. Seeing the landscape where the recent fires passed through Yellowstone will be a unique aspect of our trip. I hope the fires don’t affect what we are able to see too much! I am most interested in the unique wildlife (bison, elk, wolves, etc.) and scenery (thermal features, mountains, trails, etc.) that Yellowstone offers.

It is really rewarding to view Yellowstone not just as a tourist but through the filter of the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem with many interactions in and outside the National Park. Madison, I believe the class is going to have and see some unique observations and experiences in an incredible place. Glad to have you on board.
