Our first morning out in Yellowstone was a brisk one. We started the morning just inside the north entrance to the park. There we were able to hear elk bugling in the distance. From there we moved farther into the park and were lucky enough to spot a group of wolves. They were eight young wolves belonging to the Prospect pack. The complete back totals fourteen wolves, and we could hear them calling back to the rest of the pack periodically. At one of our later stops we were able to pick out a group of Big Horns on the top of a mountain. They were so far away though that they could only be easily seen through the spotting scope.
