It was a long drive, but a very scenic drive. I  saw the most deer at one time, just from the road. along with a very large amount of elk. I usually see one fairly good size herd and some single elk here and there, but today driving we saw hundreds of elk in multiple herds. also saw the first bison of the trip by our second stop at the Painted Canyon visitor center. I am looking for a eventful and exciting day tomorrow, with hopefully seeing something new.
