Today we ventured to Lamar Valley with Virginia and we saw the Junction Pack with 21 wolves in it, it was amazing to watch them test the Bison and see if there were any weak or slow individuals. Afterwards we went to count Bison herds and sex them in the field. I was a bit on edge as usually you don’t approach Bison as they are much bigger and they can run at incredible speeds. We got a few decent looks at Mountain Goats that were difficult to spot but everyone enjoyed it. Afterwards we took a hike to the Lamar River and eat lunch and relaxed, as well as climbing rocks. We then had a late afternoon talk with park ranger Lauren about Bison Management and grazing within the park.
