We got into the park around 6:30 am and we stopped at the location of a fresh carcass. We were trying to see if the wolves that killed the animal would come back to feed in the morning. When we got there it was pitch black and freezing outside. Our guide set up a scope and got us some hot coco and coffee to warm us up while we waited. When it started to lighten up we saw some ravens around the carcass as we continued to wait. Our guide spotted some coyotes and we got to hear them howl but no wolves came. We packed up after a few more minutes to go check out some other areas. Then we drove around for a bit before stopping at elk creek. We did not see any predators there but we heard some elk bugel and some bison. It started to drizzle on and off. We then left for the Lamar River Bridge near crystal creek. We found a bunch of animal tracks and cool rocks. Then we went to get gas and then stopped a couple more places but didn’t have any luck finding and predators. We left the park with our guides but then went back into the park with our own vams. We drove to Norris Basin and walked around to take pictures of the geysers. It started raining again while we were there. Then we drove past mammoth hotsprings on our way back to the hotel. Tonight we will eat pizza as a group. It was a fun day.
